| CHALON XMAS OPENING HOURS 2011 |

Chalon's showrooms and head office will be open until 1pm on Friday 23rd December 2011 and thereafter close for the Christmas and New Year period. The company's showrooms will open again for business as usual on Tuesday 3rd January 2012.

They are open from 10am to 4pm on Saturdays, except the head office showroom in Hambridge, Somerset which is by appointment only (and also closes at 5pm on weekdays).

On Friday September 16th 2011, the Chalon Showroom in Harrogate will be hosting an exclusive wine tasting event.
In celebration of Chalon’s origins in France, Yorkshire Vintners will be showcasing up to 20 exclusive French wines.
The tasting will be a relaxed event that will be complemented with tastings of lovely, small farmed olive oils, tuna and chorizo.
The wines and olive oils are made traditionally by craftsmen, reflecting the important ethos Chalon proudly shows in the handmade production of our furniture.

| CHALON JOINS THE GUILD OF MASTER CRAFTSMEN |
|
Chalon is pleased to announce that its application to join the Guild of Master Craftsmen has been successful.
As one of the most widely recognised trade bodies, Chalon joins an elite band of companies that includes such illustrious names as Aston Martin, Harrods and Wedgewood. The Guild has an enviable reputation, earned over many years, for representing quality, craftsmanship and customer service.
Applicants for the Guild are required to submit confidential references from satisfied customers and one of the first questions asked of all referees is whether or not they would be prepared to recommend the applicant to a relative or close friend. The Guild's council of management include a review of the references when considering the application for membership as well as ensuring all other criteria are met. Only when they are satisfied that the applicant really does deserve to be called a ‘master craftsmen’ is the application approved.
Chalon remains resolutely committed to handcrafting the finest quality kitchens available. The company’s ethos is the same as it was when founded more than 30 years ago – an emphasis on using local craftsmen and producing a genuinely handmade product in the UK - without recourse to cutting corners or outsourcing overseas like many other kitchen companies currently in the market place.
Chalon’s cabinet-making skills and manufacturing techniques are also independently endorsed by The Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers Manufacturing Guild Mark (MGM). So strict are these standards that there are currently just 21 holders of the MGM and Chalon is proud to be one of just a handful of specific kitchen companies.

| CHALON SPONSOR SHOW GARDEN AT RHS SHOW TATTON PARK |

Chalon is pleased to announce their sponsorship of one of the key show gardens at the RHS Flower Shower at Tatton Park.
Taking place from Wednesday 20th to Sunday 24th July at Tatton Park, Knutsford, the show is billed alternatively as the “North’s Greatest Flower Show” and the “Chelsea Flower Show of the North.” Since 1999, this prestigious flower show has attracted over a million visitors to the region to experience the highest standards in horticulture and design and is widely billed as one of the season’s key events.
Chalon has teamed up with RHS medal winning designer Carolyn Hardern DipGD to sponsor her show garden (stand number C169) at this year’s show. In addition to show gardens, Carolyn’s portfolio includes a wide variety of designs for many private gardens, both large and small. The ‘Perspective by Chalon Kitchens’ design will be her largest and most ambitious project to date. As part of a broad build-up to the event, Carolyn will be revealing her design for this project and talking about the inspiration behind the concept at a special Preview Evening at Chalon’s Knutsford showroom on Thursday 30th June (from 2pm to 7pm).
Apart from the opportunity of an exclusive early taster of the garden design, visitors to the Preview Evening will be able to speak to Chalon trained designers, who will be on hand to offer refreshments and to discuss the latest range of colours and designs.
Furthermore, Chalon will be hosting a promotional tent during the five days of the show itself and look forward to welcoming previous and current clients, media, trade partners and anyone else with an interest in their distinctive and exclusive range of handmade kitchens, furniture and lighting - and will be giving away free design consultations worth £100 to visitors interested in a current or future project.

| EXTENDED LIGHTING COLLECTION & NEW BROCHURE |

Chalon is pleased to announce they have completed the second tranche of new product development with their Lighting collection.
Now comprising a total of 12 different distinctive lights, the essence of the collection is well depicted in a new brochure to mark the rolling out of the recently extended range.
Like Chalon’s distinctive kitchens and furniture, this lighting range is hand crafted in England and available in a select choice of finishes from the company’s unique colour palette. Availably exclusively only through Chalon, each light is branded with a solid metal plaque of the company’s logo, providing an authenticity that cannot be matched.
As the creative force and inspiration behind the range, Stephen Carter, Chalon Managing Director, is particularly pleased with progress to date. “Good lighting can make such a big difference. When it comes to feature lights, we wanted to create a new range of products that complemented the distinctive Chalon look, so I took to designing them myself!” commented Stephen. “Taking inspiration from our furniture, I designed some solid, handmade lights that are completely unique.”
